I especially liked what I read on page 17. "Virtue, therefore, is more than a series of good deeds. It exists in a person's depth." That "depth" has been influenced throughout our entire lives. From the time we could begin to reason, we've learned right and wrong. Our depth has been cultivated and nourished every single day of our lives. The trick to becoming virtuous is the desire to let these "goodnesses" flow from our spirit at all times and in all circumstances. Another sentence on page 20 is deserving of much contemplation. "The ultimate goal of mature Christian virtue is to please God and to come at last to His embrace in eternal life."

We need to be reminded of that last quote. As our ultimate goal that should be our daily focus.
Christian do live with a different vision and purpose. ..... Thanks for posting. I hated to read any further until everyone gets their book and has a chance to post. I am really looking forward to reading the first chapter. ....ruth
