Rebecca: Introduction

The idea that most stuck out for me was distinguishing between "natural (human) and supernatural moral virtues" (P19). I've never really put that together before. I also appreciated the explanation of how grace "strengthens good qualities, makes them more consistent, and changes their goal or motivation" (P20). To me it was striking to think of grace, and a desire to please God, as further elevating the natural virtues from simply traits of a "good person," to supernatural virtues in someone actively striving for holiness.

I liked that you picked up on the idea that prudence allows us to be more consistent in our behaviors and decisions and changed our goals or motivation. Is my behavior consistent with my professed faith and values? Another good self-examination question for reflection.
